The Dandy Lion welcomes local band, Tropical Trash, to the line up!

Also NABC will be catering our event with their amazing beer!

( a little "Happy Sunday" for those of you in the dry state, Indiana!)

Local non-profit group New Roots will have a booth, and hamburgers, hot dogs, and drinks will be available!

New Roots seeks to meet the needs of urban communities by improving access to fresh food for urban residents and marketing opportunities in the city for local and regional farmers.
The New Roots program impacts the local food system through the development of the Fresh Stop Project, a community institution-driven fresh food distribution program, nutrition education and health research, and policy campaigns that improve the disparities currently present in our system.

They are a wonderful non-profit group, make sure to come check them out!

Update, Revamp, Face Lift

We were too big for our britches before we even hit a month old! We had to make room to grow!

- 3 new clothing racks! Fall dresses for women, handmade clothing, and additional children's clothing. We have very near and very dear plans to expand our men's section as well!

- New display in our art gallery!

- Revamp of the store to make room for all the upcoming handmade designers!

- Two new shopfront signs, more to come!

- We forfeited our studio to give you an entire kids' room... It wasn't hard, we are rather smitten with you. The kids' room is stocked with handmade clothing & accessories, vintage decor, and a lovely collection of vintage children's books. Many new children's designs on the way.

- Beginnings of studio and classroom space downstairs - we'll keep you updated. Sewing, gardening, children's, and jewelry classes will be coming soon.

We also got the opportunity to shoot with photographer, Matt Ooley, for our Meet The Makers feature. (http://www.mattooley.com) We had an amazing time and consider Matt a good friend. He even helped us hang our "Art, Vintage, Handmade, Culture" sign. Looking forward to sharing photos from that shoot with you very soon!

Harvest Homecoming- Oct. 7th - 10th open shop and The Dandy Lion harvest booth.

Pardon our dust! We have been busy rack-building, sign-making and picture-taking. We had our "Meet the Makers" photoshoot today, and will have really great photos to share with you shortly! On the frownside, our adventures cut into our revamping a bit, so we're taking tomorrow to sort that out.

The Dandy Lion will be closed Tuesday, September 7th!!

See you Wednesday? Come check out the upstairs, which we have opened up as the new and improved childrens' section! We have also added more racks yielding lots of new dresses, and 1 of 3 exterior signs are constructed and in tact.

Labor-filled Labor Day

The Dandy Lion is one room bigger today and 3 clothing racks bigger! New office space and the beginnings of revamping the basement for classes and studio space (our old studio is now an expanded kids' section!).
