Hey all! Just wanted to let you know of this amazing opportunity. Midwest-west coast, wherever you are...this is a chance to see one of the most influential living contemporary philosophers. He specializes in applied ethics, and is currently teaching Bioethics at Princeton. Well-known for his controversial arguments for animal's rights, he is an overall brilliant and enlightened thinker. This is a huge opportunity! The date is Thursday September 9th.

Hello everyone of you! I hope that you are enjoying the summer-fall breezes as they change their shape!
Wanted to highlight a band of two young men that have been dear friends of ours for half a decade or more. Louisville native instrumental indie band "The Photographic" is Guitarist Jamey See Tai and Drummer Chad Blevins.
We offer both friend and fanship to these guys, they are truly talented, unique, and that kind of pleasant melodic sound that is good for your bones.
check out some reviews written up for the guys:
"It's an experience as cinematic as it is sonorous...But most striking is that The Photographic seem to have accomplished, in the most subtle of ways, what contemporaries like Explosions in the Sky and Do Make Say Think have not -- they've bridged the rift between old form and new. -
"If two young men from the Midwest are capable of making such music of heroic, earth shattering proportions then what does that mean for the rest of the instrumental scene?...There is so much hope and power in this album" -
"The Photographic is a duo that makes epic, complex and entirely instrumental rock songs." -
NPR (Second Stage)
"It is hard to keep individuals interested in a vocal-less album, but that is exactly what The Photographic do here. The disc’s hour length lends itself well to continued listening." -

Here is a photo set by the amazing (& local) JPK Artography. John's work is very custom, and he definitely puts his creative spin on the traditional portraits. Check out his work: http://www.jpkartography.com/ He covers everything from weddings, senior portraits, portfolio shots, to animal portraits. Thanks so much for being part of our launch event, John!

Hello, Interwebs! Periodically we will be posting a "Browse Through". Aka... Katy walks around the shop taking random photography highlighting a portion of our inventory. This is some of what we have in-store for you fine folks. Come out and get your hands on these goodies before they are gone! & yes, we have already had to have artists restock... it's only been a week. Get it while the gett'n is good.
Also about 10 new artists delivering pieces in the next few weeks! Lots of fall vintage wears for men and women, as long as hand made children's clothing came in the past 48 hrs. More to come!
And thank you for keeping us super busy! You keep us on our toes and make our hearts happy. Good to see all the new faces out at the shop.
The Dandy Lions.
